Westford's Apple Blossom Parade

Each year, own town of Westford celebrates "community and neighbors greeting neighbors." ...I confess I am not exactly sure what that means. Regardless, our town has an annual parade.

Rachel was invited to play the flute as her schools band marched along the parade route. The parade was so close to our home we only had a few hundred feet to walk before we had found our seats.

It was a marvelous, classic small town parade that reminds us why we like our town so much.

At the end of the parade, the town had a carnival set up at the school near our home. In a way, it kind of felt like the school carnival at the end of the movie "Grease" where every starts singing. ...however, no one was singing at our town carnival. : )

Father and Sons Camping Trip

As a kid, I looked forward every year to our church's annual Father and Son Camp out. As a Father, I think I look forward to it even more. Ben, Ethan, and I usually count down the months, then weeks, then days until we go. Though we had a little rain Saturday morning. As always, it was a great time.

I am sure Ben in unique from every other boy his age, but he loves to play in the fire.

Ben was still a bit tired in this picture.
