Family Trip to NJ - Saturday

We couldn't leave town without stopping by our favorite pizza place ever! (Sorry John's in NYC) We love this place! We think their red sauce should be it's own separate food group. Oh yes, the name is Cosimo's in Westfield, NJ. Just a couple of minutes from where we lived.

Family Trip to NYC - Friday

Friday, we got everyone up and moving, ate breakfast, and headed out. We walked up to Central Park, toured around a bit, played in the fountains, and went to the zoo. After, we headed out to New Jersey to see one of Dave's old childhood friends, and spent the night at his home. Thanks Andrew!

We hadn't even made it into the park, and the boys were dying to play in the fountains. This was just Columbus Circle!

There were these huge rocks right by the "dancing" water features.

Bethany, Sarah, and Rachel just hung out while the boys played in the water.

Poor Sarah kept trying to catch a nap in her stroller, but couldn't stay asleep for long.

The boys have seen the movie "Madagascar" about animals who escape from the Central Park Zoo. They were so excited to see the penguins and lemurs! :-)

Checking out the penguins!

Family Trip to NYC - Thursday

David had a business trip to NYC during the last couple of days of school. School let out for the summer on Wednesday, and on Thursday, Beth and the kids were driving down to Manhattan to take in some sights, food, and kick off the summer in style! We stayed at a nice Hampton Inn in midtown for the night, spent the next day in Central Park, then went to NJ to see some old friends. It was a great way to begin summer.

Right after we checked into our hotel room, the kids heard sirens outside our window. Turns out a window washer crew had gotten stuck, and one side of the rig had broken. It was quite an operation to get them down!

We went to one of our favorite pizza places in Manhattan, John's pizzeria in midtown. So yummy!

The kids hanging out at the huge Lego displays at Toys 'R Us in Times Square

Times Square now that it has been shut down to cars. We really liked it. Can you find us? :-)

Sometimes all that walking can get really tiring!

As a special treat for Rachel, she and Dave went to see Mamma Mia! on Broadway. They had a great time! Then they hung out in Times Square a little bit longer.

The Last Soccer Game of the Season

This past Saturday was Ben's last soccer game of the spring season. He had a great time, and we're glad he did. We're also glad we don't have to hike to his soccer fields for a while. :-)

We snapped a few pictures of the family at his game, (Rachel was at a sleepover party) and Dave was excited he caught one of Sarah standing all on her own.

The thrill of victory (by the way, they don't keep score :)

Morey Grandparents Visit from Rochester

Mom and Dad Morey were able to come down for a visit this past weekend. As expected, the first half of our Saturday was spent attending soccer games. This might surprise you, but I brought my camera. : )

First up was Rachel's game...

About halfway through Rachel's game, the boys get board and head over to the playground. ↓

This is how we normally see Ben around the house. ↓ : )

After Rachel's game we headed to another school for Ben's game.
(Dad looks far more serious in these pictures than he really was :)

The "boys"↓

I have no ideas what Ethan was doing,
but I am confident he was being cool. : )

If you look close you'll see Dad, Sarah, Beth, and me in Rachel's glasses. ↑ : )

Sarah's fun came from licking off the salt on the pretzels. : )

I confess, I can't get over how sweet Sarah is. She really is as wonderful as she appears in the pictures. : )

After Soccer games Dad and I made a trip to the movie theater to see "Star Trek" (great movie, by the way)

The flowing day, Sunday, we celebrated Bethany's birthday. She's getting very old ; )

After the Birthday celebrations, my mother planted a few quick plants in the back yard. She planted a pumpkin plant and something alien to me called "tomatoes" ; ) ↓

Sometimes, just hang'n out with family is the best thing ever. It's the simple things that make us the most happy. Isn't it?
