The Boys Out at Ben's Soccer Game

The family had two soccer games to attend this weekend. The name of the game became, "divide and conquer." All the boys headed to Ben's game, and all the girls went to Rachel's.

Ethan decided to video while David took the pictures.

A couple times during the game, Ben became frustrated, but he popped back up again.

Mike can look a bit intimating for a kindergarten class soccer game. Nevertheless, he had a great time standing around in the stale heat of the day watching the game. : )

A visit to Kimball Farm

Grandma and Grandpa Workman came out to participate in Sarah's blessing. While they were here, Lisa and her daughter came out to say say hi. The weather was perfect for our traditional trip to Kimball Farm where the ice cream is soooo good.

Ben's Book Reading

Ben wrote his first book in Kindergarten this year. Fortunately his Grandma and Grandpa Workman were able to be in town to enjoy.

Father Son Campout

David, Ben, and Ethan had a Stake Father and Son camp out over Memorial Day weekend. They had a great time playing at the water's edge, cooking marshmallows, joking with firends and playing with the fire.

Morning can be a slow start after a late night playing. Ethan thought he needed a diet coke. : )

David was quick to point out Ben and Ethan's breakfast was not completely made up up marshmallows. : )

Aunt Becky Went Home

Becky went home today. :( She was at our home since the night before Sarah was born. She took kids to preschool, made meals, cleaned the house, changed diapers and messy pull-ups, went to soccer practices and games, selected and hung drapes, got the kids to try new foods, including eating peas with their corn; gave me some time to run errands and get my hair cut, watched movies and played Wii games with the kids, and in general, made sure our home ran like a well-oiled machine.

She has done so much for our family. She took time away from work and her husband to help us out. My kids got so much love and attention with her here. I don't know how they're going to adjust tomorrow, and especially Monday with her gone. I don't know how I'm going to adjust with her gone.

Ethan started crying yesterday when he was told she would be leaving. He calmed down when told that she would be back at the end of the month for Sarah's blessing. When it was time for everyone to say good-bye, the kids gave her big hugs, but I was the crying mess! Ethan kept on telling me that she would be back, so don't be sad. But I still was.

We just want to send out a big thank-you for all that she did for us these past ten days. We're all looking forward to seeing her at the end of the month!

Her last day here, and it was 50 degrees and rainy. But she still came out and watched Ben's game. (Rachel's away game got cancelled)
