Fun in the Backyard Sprinkler.

After Rachel's soccer game today, the kids were hot and tired. We don't have a pool, but we do have a sprinkler. They had a blast.

For me, the best part of these images are expressions on their faces. Kids having fun. Is there anything better? : )

Rachel's Soccer Game

Rachel had another soccer game today. It turned out to be too hot for a game. Several girls started to get dizzy and disoriented. The coaches wisely ended the game early in the second half.

Rachel has always benefited from her own cheering and coaching section. If you look closely, you can see Ethan reflected with Beth's glasses. He was playing in the nearby dirt. : ) ↓

Ben choose to hang out in the shade. Smart. ↓

After a while Ethan lost interest and Beth took him exploring for cool breezes and shade. ↓

Ben was more interested in the ants than the game. ↓

An early end. ↓

Bethany and the kids head to the Zoo.

Bethany and the kids joined friends and headed to the Roger Williams Park Zoo. Rachel took all of these pictures. : )

If you look close (click on the image to zoom in) you'll see Rachel taking the picture through Bethany's sun glasses.

The Morey Family Trip to Salt Lake City - Sunday

Sunday was the day for family pictures. It was the first time we had all gotten together in years and most of us feared it would be too many more before we were able to do it again.

Later that day, we saw Sue and Debbie off with a few tears in our eyes. : ( No one really wanted our vacation to end. I suppose those are the best kind. ↓

Sisters...

..and friends.

Mother, despite her poor health was always doing too much. ↓

Later in the afternoon we just hung out, enjoyed a short walk around the neighborhood, and chatted. ↓

QE2 has an uncanny ability to find any "kitty" cat in the neighborhood. No matter how difficult they were to see. ↓

Mother and daughter. : )

At the end of the night, it was family time. Tyler had come home that day from his business travel and was able to join in. ↓

Another late night and good times spent discussing good things. ↓ : )

...time for bed. The next morning, I was the next one to leave for home. :(

To my each of my Sisters, Mother, and Father... Thanks for being so terrific, loving, and most of all ...so easily forgiving. We are a wonderful family. - David
