"Flash-back-Friday"

It has come to my recent attention that one of sisters includes what she calls “Flash-back-Friday” each week on her blog. In it she posted “the greatest people in [her] life.”

I am confident the exclusion of me as her only brother as one of the “the greatest people in [her] life” was a simple oversight. It is for that reason that I include my sister here on my site. Love Ya : )

A Stormy Night

We had a pretty fast moving storm blow through last night that took out all the power in the surrounding area. Ethan fell asleep early and we entertained the kids by playing with our PSP.

When that fun ran out, we got even more creative by “painting” lines in pictures with our flash lights.

Pizza by candle light was followed by an early bed time.

Saturday at the Morey's

Saturday was yet another day of recovery. Rachel had her weekly soccer game and in spite of her sluggish play (she is still recovering from both a cold and Step Throat) she scored a great goal (see picture).

Ben and Ethan enjoyed playing in the nearby playground, but Ethan soon melted down and it was time for them to head home a bit early …Oh well.

In addition to that, we are enjoying a beautiful fall weekend. The leaves are falling, the sun is shining, and there is a gentle chill in the air. Everything smells and feels like fall.

…I love this time of the year. I am sorry my friends and family out west (particularly in Utah, Texas, California, and Arizona) don’t experience fall like we do out east. It really is the best time of the year. I included a couple pictures taken from our yard. : )

Our Trip Home

Well, the trip home wasn’t as bad as it could have been. Other than the normal bickering between kids, we only had one screaming child, 2 bloody noses, and an “incident” where Ethan threw up all over everyone. Other than that, it was a remarkably good series of flights.

I confess, fearing the worst, I bought the family a PSP (portable game player for those of you not up-to-date ;-). That seemed to keep Ben particularly entertained.

We arrived in Boston very tired and our heads hit the pillows around 2:30am Thursday night. Sadly, my alarm went off on Friday and I was off to work again.

Our Travel to Arizona

We have once again made the epic trek to Arizona with all the kids to see friends and family.

Though we have been having a great time hanging out at the Workman home, hitting the zoo, and taking in the never ending sun, it hasn’t been without its surprises. All three of our kids now have Strep Throat and we still have to face a plane ride home tomorrow. : )

Fortunately, I have Bethany who will help keep everything as calm as could be expected.

Oh, did I mention Ethan also has an ear infection?
