2010 Hill Cumorah Pageant

Dave and I both grew up in the suburbs of Rochester, NY. For many Mormons, the big social thing to do during July was to either be in the Hill Cumorah Pageant, or see it for multiple performances.

This year, we knew that a couple of friends (both those that we grew up with, and those from here in MA) would be in town to see performances. Of course, they wouldn't be in town on the same night, so we ended up going two nights in a row! :-) We brought the kids the first night, and then just had a date night the second. Other than meltdowns from the two little girls, everyone had a great time, and its always fun to see who you'll run into when you go!

Arriving at the Hill and seeing the costumed performers

Dave's friend Andrew (they grew up together, and when we lived in NJ, he was just a couple of towns away)

Nona Vandenberghe Holdiman and her family participated this year

I met up with a bunch of Winebrenners (pictured here are Courtney and Spring)

A gaggle of Sherwoods showed up the next night. I grew up with Kari, and Dave and I met at her home!

Picture time with the littlest members of our family

We also met up with some members of our ward (congregation) in MA

The Peters

The Jarnagins

And of course, no trip to Rochester would be complete without a visit to Nick Tahou's to get a garbage plate!
That's Andrew's head under the hat in the lower left. ; )
